Stretton is a conservation village, situated in the County of Rutland approximately 8 miles North East of Oakham, close to the A1 with easy transport links to the North and South. The Church of St Nicholas, lies on the Southern edge of the village and is thought to be the oldest Church in Rutland dating back to 1086-1185. The Ram Jam Garage is situated approximately half a mile from the village and in addition to fuel, sells most of the basics, including newspapers.
