Stamp Duty Holiday Extended Until June 30th 2021!

National publications have reported that Rishi Sunak is said to be preparing to introduce a three-month extension to the stamp duty holiday!

This extension has been reported to be planned to run through to June 30th 2021; to not only prevent house sales falling through, but to keep the property market firing.

The Stamp Duty Holiday has seen savings of up to £15,000 for thousands of home movers in the country since it was first announced in July and it’s down to a petition, which attracted more than 150,000 signatures, that has instigated this new development.

The chancellor is expected to use his Budget next week to move the stamp duty holiday deadline to the end of June, mirroring the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Hurfords Director, Josh Hurford comments:

“This good news will certainly give those looking to sell the comfort that they can get the best possible price for their home and those looking to buy more time to save up to £15,000 and beat the deadline”.

Get in touch today if you’re thinking of moving and we will do all that we can to get you moved before June 30th 2021.
